We are Dolce Vita Films. We are local to Sydney, but we bring a distinct European flair to every shoot. We know the golden light at Palm Beach, the gritty cool of the Inner West laneways, and the epic sandstone backdrops of The Rocks.
We believe your Sydney wedding should feel like a party, not a photoshoot. We are there to capture the clinking glasses, the ocean breeze, the chaotic dance floor, and the real connection between you and your mates.

Shooting In The Harbour City
Sydney is one of the most photogenic cities in the world, but it can be tricky to film if you don't know what you're doing. The sun is harsh, the shadows are deep, and the traffic is... well, it's Sydney traffic.
We know how to handle it.
We understand how to chase the light. When the midday sun is beating down on the Harbour, we know where to find the open shade in the Botanic Gardens. When the sun starts to set over the Blue Mountains, we know exactly where to stand to get that golden flair in your lens.
We also know how to move. We pack light. We don't bring massive trolleys of gear that block the aisle. We shoot handheld or on gimbals, allowing us to jump in a cab, run through the Rocks, or hop on a ferry with you without slowing down the day.

The Northern Beaches
Manly, Palm Beach, Whale Beach.
This is where the "Dolce Vita" vibe really shines. We love the relaxed, barefoot luxury of the beaches. If you are getting married at The Boathouse or Dunes, we are in our element. We focus on the blue water, the paperbark trees, and the salt-in-the-air feeling.
Pro Tip: Let’s sneak out for portraits 10 minutes before sunset. The light over Pittwater is unbeatable.
The Inner West & CBD
Newtown, Surry Hills, The Rocks.
For the cool couples. If you are getting married in an industrial warehouse or a heritage pub, we switch up our style. We look for graffiti walls, neon lights, and interesting textures. We love the contrast of a white wedding dress against a brick wall in Chippendale.
Pro Tip: Don't be afraid to walk through the busy streets. The movement of the city makes for incredible cinematic footage.
The Eastern Suburbs
Watsons Bay, Bondi, Rose Bay.
Classic Sydney luxury. We love the cliffs, the white architecture, and the ferry rides. If you are planning a reception at Catalina or Watsons Bay Boutique Hotel, we know the best angles to get the harbour in the background without the tourists in the foreground.
Hunter Valley & Blue Mountains
The Escapes.
Yes, we travel! We love heading out of the city. Whether it’s the vineyards of the Hunter or the cliffs of the Blue Mountains, we bring the same energy.
Note: We don’t charge travel fees for weddings within 2 hours of the CBD.

How It Works For Sydney Couples
The Vibe Check
First, send us an enquiry. If we are free on your date, we’ll set up a quick call or a coffee in Surry Hills. We want to make sure we are the right fit for you.
The Plan
We send you a questionnaire closer to the date. We ask about the timeline, the speeches, and the "do not play" songs. We plan the logistics — where we park, where we stand, and how we get from the ceremony to the reception without stress.
The Shoot
On the day, we arrive early. We introduce ourselves to your parents and the bridal party. Then, we melt into the background. We capture the day as it unfolds.
The Edit
We head back to the studio and get to work. We back up your footage immediately. Then we start crafting the story.

Do you charge travel fees for the Hunter Valley?
Generally, no. For the Hunter Valley, Blue Mountains, or Southern Highlands, we usually just ask for one night’s accommodation if the wedding finishes late, so our team doesn't have to drive back tired.
Can you recommend other vendors?
Yes! We know the best photographers, celebrants, and florists in Sydney. We love working with friends, so ask us for our "Preferred Legends" list.
What if it rains?
It’s Sydney. It happens. We embrace it. Wet roads look amazing on camera (they reflect the lights), and clear umbrellas look chic. We have sealed weather-proof gear, so we keep shooting while you stay dry.
Can we meet you in person?
Definitely. We are based in Sydney. We are always up for a coffee (or a spritz) to chat about your plans.
